Safety Computer News

Attention All Internet Users

The Newest Hacking & Viruses are getting around Most Firewall Programs.  If you are not behind a Hardware Firewall, you could be at risk, check for open ports.  Check In your Network Settings, Please Turn off “File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks”.  Also if you have any file sharing programs running like “Kodak Easy Share”, or others Please Close them.  Also Check for Auto Update Programs Running in your run menu, turn them off.

Thanks Michael

Is Your Computer on the INTERNET Without You?

You gave Microsoft and others Permission to use your computer.  If it is set to “Automatic Download for me”, well then your Computer is going to go on line with out you having control.

And when Your ISP says you have been using his service You Have Been.

  Correct This setting:
Click "Start
Control Panel
Security Center
Automatic Updates

“Download update for me, but let me chose when to install them."
Apply then OK

This is considered unattended usage, it is not recommended by most ISP’s including US.  Because of this, it leaves your computer open to the world for Hackers & Spammers.

 Thanks Michael

Microsoft Windows (Security) Updates.
We have found over the last five years that Microsoft Chose's to from time to time, to  have There Security Updates change Your Dial-up & E-Mail Outlook Express & MS Outlook Settings, to there setting for using Microsoft Own Dial-up & e-Mail settings.

So Now Please Understand it is not You, Your Computer or Your ISP, creating the problem it is Just the updates Setting your Setting back to Null, or Microsoft's settings.

When This happens Just Call and we will help you reset the settings.
Thanks Michael
